The project aims to expand the existing Multimedia Visitor Center "Tsarevgrad Tarnov" / MMPC / due to the increased interest of visitors in recent years, which requires action to meet their needs. This interest is largely dictated by the location of the Center - in close proximity to the Tsarevets fortress, an area rich in cultural and historical values, which has preserved the traces of historical past. The implementation of the project shall provoke the development of both traditional and innovative cultural practices and activities (from crafts to management and service of special events). The project proposal shall directly contribute to the implementation of modern European policies in the field of creative industries. It corresponds to contemporary views on cultural investments related to the preservation and interpretation of the cultural and historic heritage. MMPC is a unique for Bulgaria and the Balkan Peninsula tourist and cultural attraction, established in 2013. It discloses important events in the life and culture of Tsarevgrad from the XII and XIII centuries. MMPC helps in the process of promoting the cultural heritage with the help of modern audio - visual equipment and individual compositions presents the rich history of the city from the period of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. The proposed Second stage of the Center's development envisages visualizing the life of the various social strata at that time, their manners, customs, way of life and clothing. With the upgrade of the audio-visual equipment, the rich history of the city from that period, its royalty, military glory and spiritual power shall be fully perceived. The project implementation shall meet the increased needs of city visitors and MMPC in particular, the number of which is expected to increase significantly after the implementation due to the increased scope and area of the center. The project shall improve the conditions for a broader touch to the cultural life of the city, too.
