Construction of Social Housing in Vidin

The project is included in the list of project fiches, approved by the working group for project ideas with a protocol from 27.09.2019, under PA1 - Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development of OPRG, procedure BG16RFOP001-1.010- "Implementation of Integrated Urban Recovery and Development Plans 2014- 2020-Vidin". The project falls within the Public Function Area of ​​High Public Importance of the City of Vidin. Within the the project in Vidin, modern social infrastructure will be provided through the construction of social housing in which representatives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people will be accommodated. The adjoining spaces will be rehabilitated and an accessible environment for the disabled will be built.The constructed dwellings will offer modern and adequate living conditions. The physical location of the construction will ensure the spatial integration of marginalized groups in society. As a result of the project implementation, 37 social housing units will be built. Each dwelling consists of a living room, the required number of bedrooms and the respective sanitary facilities in compliance with the current regulations and will be fully furnished and equipped. The property will be improved, individual approaches and entrances will be provided, as well as a playground for recreation and/or sports activities. An accessible architectural environment will be provided for the users of the service. The newly constructed sites will have a minimum energy class C. The quality of life of the vulnerable groups in Vidin municipality will be improved and the conditions for their full realization, poverty reduction and promotion of social inclusion and their participation in the life of the municipality will be created. The groups directly influenced by the project results are homeless people and/or those living in very poor living conditions; large families; parents with children with poor health and disabilities; people at risk of poverty and social exclusion.
