Reconstruction and improvement of urban areas in Dobrich

This project proposal aims at creating attractive urban environment in the town of Dobrich through investments in key territories, which is a necessary condition for the improvement of quality of life and ecological environment of the region. This project proposal is a part of a Program for Implementation of the Integrated Plan for Urban Development and Regeneration of Dobrich, targeted at gradual, balanced and lasting resolving of important community issues of economic, ecological and social character. Subject to action are streets included in two priority areas, which are identified with respect to the needs of the citizens and the options for funding given by priority axis 1 of the Operational Program Regions in Growth 2014-2020. The scheduled actions include reconstruction and rehabilitation of streets, sidewalks, playgrounds and free areas a zone with dominant social character and a zone of public functions, which is very significant for the community. The project proposal is part of general integrated approach regarding all the elements of the investment program, which envisages renovation and development of multifunctional spaces for recreation, sports and games in the central part of the town and Balik residential area with free access for all the citizens and guests of the town. The project will have positive impact on the overall community of Dobrich as it suggests coordinated implementation of important local policies for solving problems, associated with modernization and reconstruction of significant public places. The envisaged actions are interconnected and they will benefit synergy and long-lasting development of the targeted area providing access for disabled people, security, ecology and quality of life in Dobrich. The results of the project will have positive effect on the living and working environment in Dobrich.
