Establishment of a Children's on the street Center and a shelter in Pazardzhik

The project is aimed at improving the quality of life of marginalized groups by solving the social problems related to the need of opening of innovative social services for children and adults through the establishment of a Shelter and a Center for work with children of the street in Pazardzhik.The project proposal(PP) includes interventions of heterogeneous nature, complementary and interconnected on territorial and functional grounds: two sites of social infrastructure in the "Impact area with a dominant social character" according to the IPURD of Pazardzhik.The PP has been developed for the purposes of implementing sustainable urban development, part of the IPURD Investment Program.The Shelter is located at V. AprilovStr. property ID 55155.503.1481, the Center is located at 75 PrespaStr. ID 55155.502.875.The Center will be an upgrade and the equipment of an existing building owned by the Municipality and aims to provide a comprehensive social service that will lead to overcoming of poverty and social exclusion of children.The service will provide protection and support for children from Pazardzhik at social risk by providing day care.Conditions will provide equal access for every child to the whole network of health, social and educational services and the acquisition of skills for independent living.The shelter will be a newly built and equipped building in a property of the Municipality.It aims at proposing a set of activities to create a successful support for homless people and their families.This is part of a preventive policy aimed at improving the quality of life of houseless people to prevent them from falling into a state of neglect and breaking away from an unfavorable environment.Up to 150 people can benefit from the service annually for a capacity of 25 people accommodated for a period of 2 m.In the Center with a capacity of 30 children, and provided that the children use the services for 4 m., it could be provided to about 90 children in 1 y.
