Renovation, including adjoining spaces of the Shumen town Summer Theater

This project proposal aims to improve the access to cultural life by modern and comprehensive cultural infrastructure in the town of Shumen. About the object of intervention, Summer Theatre in the town of Shumen, envisaged construction and installation works include rehabilitation and repair of existing buildings (stage and tribunes); on the main stage above them and the screen with the visor above the stage of both lighting towers. A new stage (amphiateatral) has been developed in the old seating area, where in 5 sectors up to 900 visitors will be accommodated. In place of the old and completely compromised fence will be executed a new one along the same contour. A sanitary facility block for visitors will be built in the northeast part. In the northwest part an enlargement of the building will be built as well, which will form the central entrance to the theater and 2 cash registers. Sanitary facilities and an auxiliary room for garden inventory will be built at the cash desks. Next to the formed atrium with an external entrance, a bookstore and a coffee shop will be located. On K-2.95 will be deployed two rooms with a possibility to be merged in case of need. They will be joined by 2 dressing rooms with bathrooms. Existing approaches to the theatre will be restored by replacing the pavements and steps. Existing landscape will be maintained, restoring the area of the flower alley along the northern façade. Near the entrance separated for access of visitors with disabilities 5 separate parking spaces for them will be located, as well as 5 pieces of existing parking located southeast of the property. This investment will completely renovate the emblematic building of the Shumen town’s Summer Theatre, improve access for people with disabilities, improve the appearance of the building and make the central part of the city more attractive; increase the number of cultural events in the city and the interest of contractors for the use of building premises for renting
