Sustainable and integrated urban development of the Municipality of Yambol - second stage

This project proposal is a part of Investment priority “Urban Environment”, Group activities “Urban environment” of Yambol Investment Programme. The project identifies five of the significant infrastructure sites of the city of Yambol - it provides the implementation of activities on sites of high importance for the population and improvement of the pedestrian and transport flows of the city. Purpose of this project is investments in physical infrastructure that are the basic precondition and prerequisite for social and economic development of urban areas. Implementation of the project will increase the city potential as an attractive place for living, working and recreation. At the same time the improved image of the city will attract investors and entrepreneurs and will be beneficial for the development of the tourism market. The physical renewal and development of the urban environment in The area of public functions with high public importance, the improvement of the ecological environment and the infrastructure, will contribute to improving the quality of life of the whole population.. The planned public works, comply with regulatory requirements for accessible public environment, will contribute to the full life of people with physical disabilities and will facilitate access for other population groups with limited mobility (elderly citizens, pregnant women, mothers with children) to public sites. This project proposal will contribute to the achievement of a territorial and integrated approach in the implementation of investments for the development of the city, and will add value to such investments already made during the programming period 2007-2013 and implemented projects during the programming period 2014-2020.
