Renovation of the Museum of Military Glory

The project covers the renovation of the Museum of Military Glory, established in the town of Yambol and located in the central area of ​​the town. The unique character of the museum, its connection with the history of the city and its proximity to the center, predetermine the active participation of the museum complex in the city life. The implementation of the project will provide an opportunity to develop the potential of a unique cultural institution, such as the Museum of Military Glory. It is the only specialized military municipal museum in Bulgaria. The museum is part of a closed military unit, where the 3rd Pioneer Company was located, with a total territory of 81,361 square meters. The buildings and the open areas are in extremely unsatisfactory condition. The necessary investment for renovation and adaptation of the entire space for the purpose of the Museum is huge and unaffordable for funding from the Municipality of Yambol. This project proposal will allow for the full use of the buildings falling within its scope for museum work and will ensure the implementation of activities for the preservation of cultural or historical heritage from the Museum. The planned construction and installation works will ensure savings of electricity and heat, safe operation, hygiene, protection of human health and life, and at the same time will be improved the overall aesthetic appearance of the territory and an accessible environment for people with disabilities will be provided. The implementation of the project proposal will contribute to the renewal of the cultural infrastructure, will diversify the cultural life in the city and will ensure the social inclusion of disadvantaged groups.
