Energy efficiency in multifamily buildings in the town Vratsa - Project 2

There is a project in Vratsa’s investment program that is about an intervention on multi-family residential buildings. There will be two project proposals in its frame, that will include at least five subjects (buildings) of the intervention. The project activities are aimed at the renewal of multi-family residential buildings and the implementing of the energy efficiency measures that will assure better conditions of living for the citizens living in multi-family residential buildings and higher quality of the living environment. The planned project activities will contribute to the national goal of increasing the energy efficiency and to be more specific – achieving 25% higher energy efficiency by 2020 and decreasing the greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere. The project will also contribute in achieving the national benchmark for saved energy in 2020 linked with the economy over the basic energy consumption and the basic energy consumption. A team from the municipal administration started working on consulting, supporting and collecting proposals from OA (owner associations) for inquiries of interest and financial support (IIFS). This required the creation of Rules for valuation of the received IIFS’. The rules are conformed with the Procedure guide for preparation and implementation of energy efficiency project in multi-family residential buildings on Priority Axis 1: Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development of the Operational Programme Regions in Growth 2014 – 2020. The work on the collecting and the valuation of the IIFS’ will be completed in the period between February and June, 2016. Identified 15 multifamily buildings complying with the guidelines and rules for evaluation of Vratsa Municipality, which included herein are 8 of them.
