Renovation and reconstruction of educational facilities in the town of Kardzhali

The project "Renovation and reconstruction of educational facilities in the town of Kardzhali" is one of the 3 projects in the list of indicative main projects from the approved Investment Program (IP) for realization of Integrated Plan for Urban Regeneration and Development (IPURD) of the town Kardzhali under Priority Axis 1 - "Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development" of Operational Programme "Regions in growth" 2014-2020. The main objective of the project is through modernization of the educational infrastructure, to create conditions for quality and accessible education in the city of Kardzhali. The specific objectives of the project are related to the renovation of buildings and the spaces and the improvement of the energy efficiency of the objects of intervention. The project includes renovation and introducing of energy efficiency measures in the following sites of educational infrastructure in the town of Kardzhali: - High school “P.R.Slaveikov” - Kardzhali; - High school “Otez Paisii” - Kardzhali; - High language school “Hristo Botev” and Primary school “St.st. Kiril and Metodii” - Kardzhali; - Primary school “P.K.Yavorov” - Kardzhali; - Kindergarten “MIR” - Kardzhali; The modernization of these edicational institutions is a part of the IPURD of the town of Kardzhali. They are located in the two areas of impact of the plan - Zone with public functions and Zone with social functions. Target group of the project are 4723 students who are visiting the schools and 130 children, who will be educated in the kindergarten "Mir" after its renovation. The main project activities are related to the execution of construction and installation works in 5 buildings in which are situated 6 educational institutions in the city of Kardzhali, supply of equipment, implementation and construction supervision. Also, the project provides activities for information and publicity and conducting of financial audit.
