"Repair and rehabilitation of streets and sidewalks in the town of Kardzhali"

The project "Repair and rehabilitation of streets and sidewalks in the town of Kardzhali"" is one of the three projects included in the list of indicative major projects of the approved Investment Programme for the realization of the Integrated Plan for Urban Regeneration and Development of town of Kardzhali under Operational Programme "Regions in growth" 2014-2020, Priority Axis 1 „Sustainable and integrated urban development. The main objective of the project is to create conditions for encouragement of the socio-economic development of the town of Kardzhali as a sustainable and integrated city through improving the technical infrastructure. The specific objectives of the project are to create an attractive, secure and accessible urban environment and to promote the full social integration of people with disabilities in the town of Kardzhali. The project envisages the introduction of energy-saving street lighting, repair and rehabilitation of streets and sidewalks in "Vazrojdentsi" quarter, the central and the old part of the city, and the construction of a pedestrian bridge linking the two parts of the "Arpezos-Nord" park. The target group of the project covers all residents and guests of the town of Kardzhali. The main activities of the project are related to the execution of construction and assembly works for the modernization of the urban environment. The project also includes activities for management, technical designing information and publicity and financial audit.
