Construction of new social residential building in Smolyan

Project proposal "Construction of new social residential building in Smolyan" aims to provide modern residences for vulnerable population groups and other disadvantaged groups. The construction of this type of housing will ensure the spatial integration of the representatives of the marginalized communities as a whole and will help to cope with their segregation, isolation and exclusion. The proposal includes the construction of a five storey residential building, comprising 35 social housing, with the following distribution: • Type 1 - one-room apartments - 11; • Type 2 - two-bedroom - 6; • Type 3 - three-room apartments - 11; • Type 4 - four-room - 4; • Apartment for disabled people - 3. The chosen place to build the social housing is in one of the busiest residential parts in the area with a predominantly social character of the city and with access to educational and social infrastructure (school, kindergarten, hospital, social services, etc.). The new building will be supplied with drinking water from the water supply network of Smolyan, canalized and electricity-fed according to the investment designs, and also will provides accessible architectural environment for people with disabilities - providing approaches, ramps, etc. Even more, three of the residences are specially designed for people with disabilities. The building will be in harmony with the environment, with recreation area and a children's playground. There is also a DHW / domestic hot water/ system with a solar collector using solar energy (solar collectors) as well as video surveillance. Each residence will be furnished and equipped to provide basic living conditions for the lives of the housed people in the social housing.
