"Integrated urban transport in the town of Kazanlak" - Stage 1

This project proposal is aimed at modernization and optimization of the system of public transport in the town of Kazanlak. Kazanlak Municipality has commissioned the preparation of pre-feasibility study and financial analysis of the entire system of public transport in Kazanlak to an independent external consultant, which proposed three alternatives to the decision. As a result of carried out multi-criteria analysis (technical, environmental, economic, institutional, etc.), it is recommend the implementation of Alternative 3 "Environmental and innovative integrated urban transport" as the most comprehensive and realistic implementation that thanks to the synergies of their individual components will have the greatest benefit to residents and visitors of the municipality of Kazanlak. The project provides 4 main components: rehabilitation of the main avenues in the city ("Rozova dolina" Boulevard - stage 1); purchase of 7 pcs. electric buses; implementation of management information system for the public transport and rehabilitation of 23 bus stops. The project has a total amount of 3 690 050,96 lev (BGN) and has a total duration of 26 months.
