Renovation of parks, green areas and streets

The focus of the current project is improving the urban environment in Municipality of Montana through rehabilitation, reconstruction and ennoblement of urban territories with certain basic functions, included in the Integrated Plan for Urban Recovery and Development of Montana City. The affected territories are: park "Kaleto", park "Ogosta", park "Montanezium", "City park" and "Hadzhi Dimitar" Blvd. With the implementation of measures in this target area, in accordance with the eligible activities under Priority “Urban Environment”, the project will be a great contribution to the construction of a reliable urban environment; adaptation of places for people with disabilities; improvement and development of recreational areas and public places. The achievement of the aforementioned will result in creating conditions for better lifestyle and creating more attractive e urban environment. The chosen concentration of the measures will contribute to the overall recovery and development of the city because parks are the most essential zones for relaxation and are used by the whole city population. With the elaboration of this project a continuation of the measures will be achieved with project "Providing green and accessible environment in Montana", implemented under a scheme to provide grants BG161RO001/1.4-09/2012 "Green and accessible urban environment" Priority 1 "Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development" Operational program "Regional development 2007-2013". The selected set of objects will contribute overall renewal of the urban zone of influence which will lead to sustainability in achieving synergy and concentration of resources. The fact that this project proposal and its objectives are part of the Long-term and Sustainable strategy of Montana, leads to bigger effects of the investment.
