Improvement in Gorna Oryahovitsa Town Educational Environment

Modernization and renovations to Sveti Sveti Kiril i Metodii School, Bodra Smyana Kindergarten and Elena Grancharova Kindergarten will lead to improved learning environment and will result in better conditions for well-cared-for growing up children and students. It is estimated that 468 children and students living in the town and in the municipality of Gorna Oryahovitsa, or in some of the neighbouring towns or villages, as well as 74 people working in the school and kindergartens will benefit from the project. Besides, the project proposal will have influence on about 900 direct beneficiaries who are parents of the students and growing up children. The project aims at: providing renovated, improved and modernized educational and working environment for the students, growing up children and the personnel of the school and the two kindergartens; reducing energy consumption and achieving lower hazardous air pollutant emissions; integrating and socializing children from marginalized groups as well as Roma children belonging to marginalized groups. The mentioned above aims are to be achieved by implementing the following project activities: Project Organization and Project Management; Information and Communication Activities; Implementation of Construction Works; Design Supervision and Construction Supervision Activities; Equipment and Furniture Supply and Installation; Project Audit. As a result from the project proposal implementation appropriate infrastructure will be available to satisfy the need for improved, renovated, modernized and adapted for use by disabled people learning and living environment in which growing children are brought up and taught. The environment should meet the Community requirements for educational infrastructure which is of good quality and is adapted for use by disabled people. The project implementation is planned to be completed within 30 months and the project value is 2 925 837,69 BGN.
