Renovation of the educational infrastructure in Gotse Delchev town

This project is aimed at a complete renovation of the following educational sites in Gotse Delchev: • 2nd primary school "Goce Delchev"; • Kindergarten №1 "Kalinka"; • Kindergarten №4 "Radost". All three sites are included in the approved Investment program of Gotse Delchev and are situated in the two zones of influence within the Integrated Plan for Urban Reconstruction and Development (IPURD) of the city. They have received the highest score and are qualified as priority sites according to the "Methodology for prioritization of project proposals and their inclusion in the IPURD of Gotse Delchev.“ 2nd primary school "Goce Delchev" is situated the central city area, entirely in the territory of influence zone ІІ "Zone with public functions of high public importance". The school is among the most popular in the city. In 2016, 514 students attend it, which is why its complete reconstruction will have effect on most of the students in the city. Kindergarten "Radost" and kindergarten "Kalinka" are situated in the territory of influence zone І "Zone with prevailing social character". All of the three buildings including their courtyards are in poor condition. Only partial repairs with no lasting effect have been made since their construction. All installations are worn out and need replacement. The sites do not meet the legal requirements to operate as an educational object. The project includes activities aimed at the overall reconstruction of the three buildings, including the adjacent courtyards, and the delivery of equipment and furnishing for the above mentioned sites. All sites have full project readiness and the technical documentation has been prepared within the project "Supproting Gotse Delchev Municipality for the next programming period 2014-2020", financed by OPRD 2007-2013.
