Introduction of energy saving measures in multifamily residential buildings in Dupnitsa, Dupnitsa municipality.

The project proposal of Dupnitsa municipality includes introduction of energy saving measures in seven multifamily residential buildings in Dupnitsa. At the stage of applying for a project proposal, Dupnitsa Municipality, in its capacity of beneficiary, has selected the specific buildings and has prepared surveys for establishing the technical characteristics related to the requirements under Art. 169, para. 1, items 1-5 and para. 2 of the Spatial Planning Act, and energy efficiency audits for each of them. The energy saving measures identified, laid out and recommended in energy efficiency audits are as follows - ESM 1 "Exterior Insulation Thermal Insulation", ESM 2 "Roof Insulation", ESM 3 "Insulation of Floor", ESM 4 "Windows", ESM 5 "Replacement of lighting in common areas". Thus formulated, energy-saving measures fully correspond to the objectives and intentions of the investment priority. The implementation of energy efficiency measures in multi-family residential buildings will contribute to: • Higher energy efficiency of multi-family residential buildings and lower energy costs; • Improving the life cycle performance of buildings; • Ensuring living conditions in accordance with sustainable development criteria. On the other hand, the implementation of the project proposal makes a significant contribution in environmental terms - low CO2 levels and equivalents, reduction of raw materials and energies for heating, maintenance and repair. In itself, the project proposal includes other activities related to construction works - construction supervision, author's supervision, investor control, as well as compulsory visualization measures. The project is interconnected with the National Energy Efficiency Program of multifamily residential buildings and contributes to the overall implementation of policies in this field.
