Reconstruction and change of purpose of Youth House in the City History Museum - Dupnitsa

This project has been prepared and planned for the implementation of the Integrated Urban Reconstruction and Development Plan (IPRD) of the town of Dupnitsa, aimed at improving the quality of living standards, social integration, restoration and protection of cultural and natural values and development of ecological infrastructure, leading to sustainable and balanced development and modernization of technical infrastructure and the urban environment. The project envisages a set of activities related to the reconstruction and change of purpose of the Youth House in the City History Museum - Dupnitsa in order to develop the cultural infrastructure and improve the conditions for access to cultural life. The project will contribute to maximizing the integration of interventions throughout the city for its full restoration and development of identified impact areas. The establishment of the Dupnitsa Historical Museum will assist the city in attracting new tourists and visitors, which in turn will play a favorable role in its economy. Creating a permanent museum exhibition is considered as an important strategic goal for the Municipality of Dupnitsa, as at this stage there is no permanent historical or artistic exhibition that meets the contemporary aesthetic needs of the city's population and its visitors. Opening the doors, the Dupnitsa Historical Museum will be the only place on the territory of the city and the region that will allow its population and visitors to get acquainted with the following exhibitions: "Archeology", "Ethnography"; "Temporary and Visiting Exhibition Hall"; "Audiovisual Presentation Hall". As a result of the project implementation, cultural life and infrastructure in the city will be effectively developed, and the above will directly contribute to social inclusion and improve the quality of life of people living in the town of Dupnitsa.
