Improved Energy Efficiency of a Public State Building: Regional Office for Fire Safety and Population Protection (ROFSPP) and Regional Police Office (RPO) in Peshtera town

The current project proposal envisages implementation of measures for increased energy efficiency of ROFSPP and RPO, Peshtera town, 1 "D-r P.Cikalov" Str. The building is a public state property with built-up area- 695 m2 , first category letter "a" under Law on Territorial Development (LTD) and Ordinance №1 / 30.07.2003. Based on the conclusions of the technical passport, the current buildings' status do not meet the requirements of Art. 169 of the LTD in terms of energy efficiency, safe operation, noise and environmental protection. The buildings are depreciated and obsolete, which affects the quality of work and service of the population, as well as does not allow meeting the modern requirements for maintenance. Peshtera Municipality has submitted proposals for all eligible buildings public municipal and state ownership located on the territory of the town. In comparison to the other municipal buildings, the a.m. sites reveal extremely high level of necessity for renovation and energy savings potential. The implementation of the obligatory energy saving and other measures set in the Technical passports and envisaged by the current proposal, will lead to class "C" energy consumption in compliance with the goals of the current procedure. The project execution will bring reduced energy costs of the state administration and improved operational characteristics of the building, which will result in increased efficiency and prolonged life cycle, sustainable management and maintenance of the buildings.
