"Improving the energy efficiency of public buildings in town of Popovo"

The project is aimed at implementing energy efficiency measures in 9 buildings, owned by 8 public and state institutions. The objects of intervention within the construction range of town of Popovo, who is designated as a level 4 support center of the national polycentric system, according to the The National Concept for Spatial Development 2013-2025. Project activities will contribute to the reduction of final energy consumption and indirectly - to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in these public buildings with 10867,42 m2 of GFA: 1. "Administrative building of Municipality of Popovo" - 5400 m2 2. "Municipality dinning house - Popovo" - 521 m2 3. "Municipal Historical Museum, Popovo" - 729,40 m2 4. Community Center "Saznanie” - 1907god.”, Seyachi - 770,02 m2 5. Primary school "Ljuben Karavelov" Popovo - 450 m2 6. Primary school “Kl. Ohridski "- Popovo – two buidlings with 1035.20 m2 of GFA, including an one-storyed buidling -441 m2 and a two-storyed buildng 594.20 m2 7. "Police department" - Popovo - 1125 m2 8. Regional Court and Prosecutor's Office - Popovo" - 836.80 m2 On the basis of pre-designed reports from energy efficiency audits and technical characteristics of the buildings in the project proposal are set out mandatory and accompanying events, through which the energy performance of buildings will improve, reducing energy costs, improving the overall appearance of the institutions and creating better living conditions for the citizens of the town. With the project implementation is expected annual reduction of the electricity to be around 1 401 800.00 KWh/y, and reducing of greenhouse gas emissions to 359.59 t. CO2 /y.
