"Increasing the energy efficiency of public buildings and municipal public administration, located in the town of Berkovita, 4 "Yordan Radichkov" sq.

The building of the municipal administration Berkovitsa was built in 1971. It is situated on the main square in the city and is a landmark for the local community. Due to the long lifetime of the building operations as a result of natural wear and tear of materials its technical performance is significantly understated. Over the years it has been changed almost entirely windows on the facades of the building, but have not been taken any measures for isolation of heat to the other surrounding elements such as floor, walls and roof. The heating system is a radiator type, made of panel radiators that are partially blocked. The building does not meet modern requirements for energy efficiency in buildings. In the present state normalized energy consumption in the building is calculated to 465.730 MWh / y, and the building falls in Class D in energy scale of energy consumption. During the implementation of all proposed energy saving measures, the total gross annual energy consumption will be reduced by 82 %, reduction of annual primary energy consumption by 742,300 kWh/y and the building will fall into Class "B" of the scale of energy consumption. The proposed package of energy conservation measures will result in a significant environmental effect, carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by 75.76 tons/year. The implementation of the planned energy saving measures will significantly improve the comfort of the employees of the municipal administration and Judicial state institution and will visibly reduce its operational costs.
