Energy efficiency measures for multifamily buildings in the town of Mezdra.

This project aims at a comprehensive intervention in buildings of 13 multi-family housing in the town of Mezdra. The majority of buildings are 2 floors, 3 floors and 4 floors filled with concrete slabs. The adjust envelope elements of most of them are masonry single solid bricks. The roofs of the buildings are wooden pitched. The building fund is more than 30 years. There are partial measures on renewal of objects, such as new windows of some of the facades, laid insulation of 5 cm outer surface. The type of heating in buildings is realized with individual gas boilers, electricity and wood stoves. From the conducted energy analysis identified potential for reducing energy consumption. This is due to heat loss through the envelope. At the time of the audit nearly all buildings within the energy class "G". Set a reduction potential is actually necessary costs for heating and cooling by an average of 63-65% for the building. There is a package of three energy-saving measures for each building. This will achieve the greatest economic impact, as the necessary investments for the introduction of energy saving measures are average overall payback period - 9.5 years. After implementation of the measures in buildings will undergo energy class "C" with sustainable use of energy carriers.
