“Renovation and implementation of energy efficiency measures in the building of the “Border Police Department” – Zlatograd"

The project proposal aims to increase the energy efficiency of public building of the State Administration. In the building is located the “Border Police Department” – Zlatograd of the Ministry of Interior. The building was built in 1982 and has two floors and a basement. The total area of the building is 143 sq.m. The building has an administrative purpose and an economic activity is not operated in it. It is apparent from the reports of energy efficiency and structural stability that in the building is necessary to be introduced measures to increase the energy efficiency and implement measures for structural strengthening to ensure the extension of the life cycle. At present the building has the lowest energy class than the other public administration buildings in the city, at the same time the building has the greatest potential for energy savings. The measures that should be implemented and are prescribed in the energy efficiency report of the building are: thermal insulation of exterior walls, replacement of windows with PVC, thermal insulation of floor and roof, replacement of cauldron and fuel system and replacement of the lightening with LED. For the structural reinforcement of the building it is necessary to be replaced 9 cubic meters of timber of the roof construction, strengthening and renovation of brick column and oriel of the southern facade, 100% replacement of the tiles with ceramic ones and others. After implementation of the energy efficiency measures and structural reinforcement of the building, it will pass from energy class “F” into energy class “B” and will generate 68.60 percent energy savings The Municipality of Zlatograd is the lead organization in the project proposal for the renovation of the building of the “Border Police Department” – Zlatograd. The Chief Directorate “Border Police” of the Ministry of Interior which is the secondary administrator with budget funds is a partner in the project proposal.
