"Increasing the energy efficiency of public buildings by municipal educational infrastructure in the town of Karnobat"

The project aims to increase the energy efficiency in municipal buildings of educational infrastructure in the town of Karnobat. The planned activities are aimed at updating and implementation of energy saving measures in School "P.R.Slaveykov" Kindergarten "Yana Laskova" and an auxiliary building of the school "Hristo Smirnenski". The target groups targeted by the project are a total of 436 children and students studying in two schools and kindergarten, as well as 45 people staff. The planned project duration is 24 months. This draft direct impact on target groups, contributing to: • reduce energy costs and provide required thermal comfort for occupants as a result of implementation of energy efficiency measures. It will also improve the performance of these buildings by improving outdated buildings and build equipment to facilitate access for people with disabilities. • improving educational infrastructure and create conditions for a comfortable working environment for staff and to provide quality educational services to students and trainees children in school "P.R.Slaveykov", "Hristo Smirnenski"- auxiliary building and kindergarten "Yana Laskova" in the town of Karnobat. • providing equal opportunities for children from all social groups and disadvantaged groups. • motivating students to attend classes. In the medium term will impact on improving the educational characteristics of the population and as a result the level of unemployment. • reducing emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere as a result of implementation of energy efficiency measures. Replacement of wood stoves and coal used in school "P.R.Slaveykov" with heating boiler with wooden pallets will also help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
