"Renovation of public infrastructure by increasing the energy efficiency of public buildings, providing administrative and cultural services for the sustainable development of the town of Popovo"

The project is aimed at implementing energy efficiency measures in 6 buildings, owned by 3 public and state institutions. The objects of intervention within the construction range of town of Popovo, who is designated as a level 4 support center of the national polycentric system, according to the The National Concept for Spatial Development 2013-2025. Project activities will contribute to the reduction of final energy consumption and indirectly - to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in these public buildings with 1448,71 m2 of GFA: 1. Music school by Community cener "Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii" - 266,00 m2; 2. Administrative building of Ministry of agriculture and food" - 297.30 m2; 3. Building of regional office "Fire department" - 885,41 m2., including: 3.1 Building 1 - 96,20 m2; 3.2 Building 2 - 405,77 m2; 3.3 Building 3 - 305,00 m2; 3.4 Building 4 - 78,44 m2. On the basis of pre-designed reports from energy efficiency audits and technical characteristics of the buildings in the project proposal are set out mandatory and accompanying events, through which the energy performance of buildings will improve, reducing energy costs, improving the overall appearance of the institutions and creating better living conditions for the citizens of the town. With the project implementation is expected annual reduction of the electricity to be around 1 142 468,86 KWh/y, and reducing of greenhouse gas emissions to 206.26 t. CO2 /y.
