Increasing the energy efficiency of buildings in town of Berkovitsa

The project is aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of a public building of the state and municipal administration, located in Berkovitsa, 2, Anton Strashimirov Street, by implementing energy saving measures. The building is located in Regulated plot of land XI, district 131 on the plan of the town of Berkovitsa, PI 03928.506.503 of the town of Berkovitsa. The building was commissioned in 1978. Project activities will help reduce maintenance costs and energy and heating costs while improving the comfort and energy performance of the building. An additional effect of the measures will ensure cost-effective operation, which will allow its sustainable management and maintenance over time. The following project proposal envisages the implementation of the following ESM and the achievement of energy class A of the building: Measure B1 - thermal insulation of external walls, Measure C2 - Thermal insulation of roof, Measure C3 - Replacement of joinery; Measure C1 - replacement of oil boiler and SAI installation, Measure C2 - Optimization of the lighting system - installation of LED lights. During the energy audit it was found that the heat losses through the surrounding external elements - walls and roof are large and the building does not meet the current requirements for energy efficiency. In the current state, the building falls into the energy consumption class F of an energy consumption scale. When all proposed energy saving measures are implemented, the total annual energy consumption will be reduced to 107,843 MWh / y and the building will fall into the "A" class of the energy consumption scale. The proposed package of energy-saving measures will have a significant environmental effect: carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by 131.55 tonnes / year. The implementation of the planned energy saving measures will significantly improve the comfort of employees and citizens and reduce its operating costs - with an expected saving effect of 74.67%.
