The project proposal includes all activities necessary for comprehensive modernization / renovation of "General Vladimir Stoychev" sports school and a dormitory, Sofia, including the repair and reconstruction for implementing energy efficiency measures and securing access for persons with disabilities to the buildings of the school, securing the necessary equipment to modernize the educational process and for ensuring the proper functioning of the educational institution. The project is aimed at improving the educational infrastructure that has both regional and national importance, providing training and skills of students related to conditions in the labor market, but also to support projects educational infrastructure for disadvantaged students, prioritized nationally. Besides its importance for the district sports school "General Vladimir Stoychev " is an integral part of the national system of physical education and sport in Bulgaria. This type of schools are the basic units for preparation of elite athletes and improved conditions will contribute to creating an attractive and safe environment for developing the talents of the best athletes from the sports "reserve" of the country. Energy efficiency measures of the buildings will help to adapt the educational infrastructure to the expected climate change and meet the requirements for energy renovation of buildings. Implementation of measures for improved access for people with disabilities to the school building will significantly increase the opportunities for children and people with impaired mobility to study and work in the education and will come in-line with the long-term national strategy for employment of people with disabilities 2011-2020, and the Convention on rights of persons with disabilities. This is a prerequisite for social inclusion and combat the isolation of this social group. Ministry of Youth and Sports is responsible for the project management and quality implementation of the activities.
