Construction, reconstruction and equipment of the Vocational School of Veterinary Medicine "Prof.Dr.Dimitar Dimov", Lovech

The project proposal includes the following activities: -whole renovation of the vocational school in compliance with the terms determined in the technical passport and its reports and recommended energy efficient measures in accordance with the normative and minimum requirements. -repair of class rooms, studies and laboratories -investigation and design of change of the designation of the third floor in the the east wing of the school for boarding house with capacity of 60 pupils through reconstruction of existing class rooms into bedrooms, WC and offices as a part of the whole renovation of the educational institution. -repair and reconstruction of the boiler room; -repair of the kitchen section and canteen (the food will be prepared by school personnel); -repair of the sports hall and the changing rooms adjacent to it; - supply of furnishing for the boarding house and equipment for the kitchen section; - rehabilitation of the school yard. The specific measures of the whole modernization of the vocationa school will be cleared out after the elaboration of the investment project and detailed bills of quantity. Having in mind the big area of the school - 8,899 sq.m. and service buildings such as garages, old warehouses and cattle-sheds that are out of use, the whole renovation is projected to be accomplished only on educational buildings - the main school building, sports hall and part of the school yard in which there are several playgrounds. In view of these circumstances, the following buildings will not be subjects of the investment project: - garages and workshops in good conditions, and - warehouses and cattle-sheds that are out of use and have not been run for long period of time and are condemned to be demolished. The Veterinary School of Lovech owns school farm, clinic and pharmacy in which the pupils take practice lessons and preparation.
