Improving the educational infrastructure of the Vocational Forest High School - Berkovitsa

The project proposal is aimed at improving the educational infrastructure (including increasing the energy efficiency of the building by implementing energy saving measures),improving the quality of the educational environment and increasing its attractiveness among students by upgrading the material base, providing modern equipment and furnishing of the Vocational Forest High School - Berkovitsa,located in the town of Berkovitsa, 2 "Kaleto" Str.The project proposal envisages the purchase of equipment for conducting training practices and increasing the skills and competencies of students, as well as the implementation of all mandatory ECMs from the energy audit of the building and achieving at least energy class C of the building.The implementation of the project envisages the implementation of the following ECMs: Measure B1-Replacement of wooden joinery with aluminum joinery Measure B2-Thermal insulation of external walls Measure B3-Thermal insulation of a roof Measure C1-Repair of lighting installation. Measure C2-Repair of heating installation Measure C3-energy saving measures for measuring, control and management devices Measure C4-Replacement of heating boiler with a new one The building of the Vocational Forest High School in Berkovitsa is generally three-storey, with the buildings with identifiers 03928.511.5.1 and 03928.511.5.3 being three-storey and the building 03928.511.5.2 being two-storey. The building consists of 3 functionally separate and interconnected blocks,built at different times (extension and superstructure) and separated from each other by expansion joints.Total area-3,564 sq.m.Upon implementation of all proposed energy saving measures,the total annual energy consumption will be reduced to 125 397.00 KWh/y and the building will fall into class "B" of the energy consumption scale.The proposed package of energy saving measures will lead to a significant environmental effect:carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by 81.02 tons/year.
