Major renovation and energy efficient rehabilitation of PGVMZ Alexander Stamboliiski in the town of Loznitsa

The project proposal includes major renovation and energy efficient rehabilitation of PGVMZ “Alexander Stamboliiski” Loznitsa. Planned activities include project management, construction and installation works, construction supervision, author's supervision and publicity. The following construction and installation activities will be performed: implementation of energy efficiency measures according the energy audit of the building, a lifting platform at the southwestern entrance will be constructed, construction of a lifting platform in the eye of the stairs, a bathroom for disadvantaged people will be built on all floors, and a separate locker room and a toilet for disadvantaged people will be constructed in the gym. These measures will significantly increase the opportunities of the inactive population and people with reduced mobility to access the building and participate in the education process. Through the implementation of the information and publicity activity, the stakeholders will be informed and acquainted with the goals and tasks of the project, thus ensuring maximum participation of all stakeholders. The project will contribute to the creation of favorable conditions for the development of educational activities in the building. Improving the energy and operational characteristics of the building will increase the quality of the educational process and will significantly reduce operating costs. The implementation of the activities will ensure cost-effective operation of the building, which will allow sustainable management and maintenance. The project proposal will help for easier integration and socialization in society and in the training process, as well as for subsequent successful implementation in the labor market. The renovated building will keep young people in school and will lead to better educational results for students, which in the long run will stimulate increased youth employment, reduce unemployment and juvenile delinquency.
