"Modern social infrastructure - better services for children with disabilities and their families in Elena municipality"

The main objective of the Project is to provide adequate and effective social infrastructure which contributes to increasing the efficiency of the services provided in the existing day care center for disabled children through its restructuring and implementation of separate programs for upgrading existing activities including also the following activities: early interventions related to the disabilities; Individual pedagogical support; Mobile work, targeted activities to support children with disabilities in family environment, mediation, counselling, part-time care, working with children with mental health problems, assessing needs, providing support for access to other services, etc. It is envisaged that the activities of the Project and the realization of the Day Care Center for Support of Disabled Children and their Families will be carried out in the premises of the first floor of the building of the student dormitory of "Ivan Momchilov" Secondary School in Elena, 2 Paisii Hilendarski Str., with an area of ​​282.4 m2. The main activities include: reconstruction of two of the available rooms and dividing them into a psychosensory room and recreation facilities for children with disabilities; The courtyard with appropriate facilities for children with disabilities, with a view to providing Support of Disabled Children and their Families ; Supply and installation of equipment and furniture for the separate new premises and the yard and as part of the overall renovation of the equipment; Improving access for people with disabilities to these premises and the yard. The project envisages these activities to be implemented through engineering / design, construction, design and construction supervision procedure, which will be announced after the signing of the Contract with the OPRD MA . The delivery of the provided equipment / furnishings will will fully meet the parameters and the technical requirements to them according to the current norms and standards.
