Support for deinstitutionalization of Childcare in Lovech

Deinstitutionalization of childcare is one of the most important requirements for ensuring the rights of children who, for one or another reason, cannot or there is risk of being raised by their biological parents. Applying the basic principle that the family is the best environment for the care and development of each child is the main driving force of the deinstitutionalization process. The main purpose in the provision and implementation of the project proposal is to provide source for appropriate community-based services for children and families support in order to prevent risks and to produce conditions that, will be largely address to the individual needs of the children and guarantee their rights and interests. PP will provide for the upgrading of community-based childcare infrastructure for children and youths, as defined in the Community and Family Support Services Map, and the Residence Services Card as follows: - upgrading the activity of the Center for Public Support, - opening of a Day Care Center for Children with Disabilities and their families, - establishment of Supervised housing for young people from 18 to 21 years - establishment of Transitional housing for children from 15 to 18 years Expected results: - Elimination of institutional childcare - as a legal opportunity and a real form of child raising; - Providing quality care for children and youth, including those with disabilities and severely disabled, by creating a wide range of social and integrated health and social services. The implementation of the project proposal will create social services easily accessed to the target groups more qualified and diverse. All this will bring to raising quality of life, respecting personal dignity, maximizing self-reliance, and full life realization of the children.
