,,Improving the social infrastructure for children with disabilities in the Municipality of Asenovgrad"

Day Care Center for Children with Disabilities-Asenovgrad was established in 2009 under a Phare project.Since March 2010 by Order No RD 01-84 of 25.01.2010 of the ASA the social service functions as a state delegated activity with a capacity of 30 children.The target group is children with disabilities and with specific educational needs,aged between 3 to 18 years. At present the center is housed in two buildings with a total built-up area of ​​138 sq.m. The rooms at the Day Care Center for Children with Disabilities are small and insufficient, there is no functional connection between the two buildings. The lack of enough premises in the DCCCD and their small area violates the rhythm of the work of the specialists with the children, which influences the quality of the services and it is an obstacle for their development. By decision №2018 / 17.06.2015. of the Asenovgrad Municipal Council was agreed to relocate Day Care Center for Children with Disabilities - Asenovgrad from address: Asenovgrad, Banski Square to the address: Asenovgrad, 14, "Sixth January" Str., 1st floor, as of 01.01.2016. The aim of the present project is to move the DCCCD on the first floor of the building at the closed down Home for children deprived of parental care "Tanyu voyvoda" with the address: Asenovgrad, 14, "Sixth January" Str. The following functional changes will be made: will put on new windows, replace the internal doors, new light partition walls will build to redistribute the necessary premises, providing access for physically handicapped children,external thermal insulation of the building (first floor only),repair of internal electrical and water supply installations,repair and new finishing works - pavements, plasters, painting and others.
