Support for deinstitutionalization of childcare in the municipality of Petrich

The project is aimed at implementing the deinstitutionalization process by replacing the institutional care model with care in the family or in close proximity to the family environment in the community. In the framework of the present procedure, Petrich Municipality should establish four services, which are foreseen under the priority axis: New Center for Public Support, Repairs / Furnishing / Equipment of Existing Public Support Centers / Day Care Centers for Children with Disabilities / Social Rehabilitation Centers and integration, new family-type placement center for children and new Transitional homes for children from 15 to 18 years of age. The construction of the infrastructure for the four services is in line with the functional requirements and guidelines for infrastructure development and approved by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, in line with the relevant European documents for deinstitutionalization and community life. The project will contribute to providing better quality social infrastructure in the municipality of Petrich, which is currently lacking. This will create prerequisites for providing effective social services in the community and consequently reducing existing forms of social exclusion. Renewed and built facilities will provide more and improved opportunities for protection, social security, meeting everyday needs, consulting and informing different target groups. Among the objectives of the reform is to guarantee the right of every child to access quality care and community services according to their individual needs.
