Support for Deinstitutionalisation of Children Through Construction And Renovation of Social Infrastructure in Haskovo

The current project proposal "Support for Deinstitutionalisation of Children Through Construction And Renovation of Social Infrastructure in Haskovo" is elaborated in fully correspondence with the National Strategy "Vision for deinstitutionalization of children in Bulgaria" with a horizon 2025 and the updated action plan for its implementation. It is part of the political commitment for reform of child and family care system and the development of suitable environment , in which institutions, civil society organizations, society and families respect children's rights and pursue policies aimed at development, social inclusion and participation of all children. The implementation of the proposed activities are focused on preventing the placement of children in institutions and creating new opportunities for children and families to receive better support and care in the community. The project envisages the construction of the necessary infrastructure for child care, as part of the policy for deinstitualization of children by 2025, in particular new Day Care Center for Children with Disabilities and Their Families, new Transitional Housing for Children 15 to 18 years of age and expanding the capacity of the existing Community Support Center by establishing an Emergency Accommodation Center. The activities, which will be implemented within the project are: 1. Organization, management and internal monitoring of the project; 2. Construction works for the devepment of new social services in the community of Haskovo Municipality; 3. Expanding the capacity if the existing Community Support Center; 4. Exercising construction supervision of the sites of intervention; 5. Delivery and installation of equipment and furniture for the needs of the social services; 6. Information and communication of the project.
