“Reconstruction and repair of existing premises for construction of a day center for children with disabilities in a building for kindergarten - V kindergarten, residential complex "Izgrev" - town of Berkovitsa"

In Berkovitsa Municipality there is identified a need for support and work with children with disabilities and their parents, for whom there is no adequate social service to meet their needs. The project proposal provides construction of a Day Care Center for children with disabilities and their families through reconstruction and repair of existing facilities, located in a land property with ID 03928.513.289, address Berkovitsa, neighborhood "Izgrev", way of lasting use: for a kindergarten (former Kindergarten 5). The reconstruction and repair of a part of the building (wing 1) located on the above-mentioned property, including the adjoining courtyard, is planned for the purpose of establishing a day care center for support of children with disabilities and their families, in accordance with the developed and approved by the Ministry Labor and social policy functional requirements and guidelines for infrastructure building in line with the relevant European documents for deinstitutionalization and community life. The Day Care Center for Children with Disabilities and their families is located in a densely populated residential area with an accessible architectural environment, next to "MBAL-Berkovitsa" and "Medical Center 1", pharmacy, dental care, kindergarten, park areas and sports grounds . Provided transport infrastructure - built street network and footpaths for pedestrians. The project will include measures related to improving the access of people with disabilities in accordance with the requirements of Ordinance № 4 / 01.07.2009. For the design, execution and maintenance of buildings in accordance with the requirements of an accessible environment for the population, including people with disabilities. For this purpose, an elevator and ramps for an accessible environment are planned. The project proposal will be in compliance with room and area requirements and equipment / furnishing requirements in accordance with the application guidelines.
