Improvement of the Social Infrastructure for Children Services

The current project encompasses the social services in Gabrovo Municipality which are to be reformed according to the National strategy “Vision for deinstitutionalization of children in Bulgaria”, the Map of community-based social services and services in the usual home environment and the Map of residential social services. In such a context, the project envisions rehabilitation and construction works in part of a building on 13 Ivailo St in Gabrovo for the relocation of the existing Center for community support, aiming at expansion of its activity and increase in its capacity. The project also foresees the construction of a sensory garden, as well as the provision of specific equipment, for the needs of the future social service Day center for support of disabled children and their families, which Gabrovo Municipality undertakes to create through the unification of the existing Day center for disabled children and Center for social rehabilitation and integration. The provided equipment will contribute to the diversion, complementation, improvement and building on the conditions and methods for work with disabled children. The realization of the project in its integrity will contribute to the creation of favorable environment for the provision of quality complex social services in community for children and their families, and will foster their social integration.
