Providing an efficient infrastructure to support the process of deinstitutionalization of childcare - Silistra

The project provides reconstruction, repair, furnishing and equipment of the following social services: 1. In the former kindergarten “Yan Bibian”, located in the town of Silistra, 11 Pirin Str - massive buildings with a built-up area 662 m2 and an adjacent terrain of 2320 m2 will be built: Day Care Center for children with serious multiple disabilities and their families with a capacity 30 for day care and 60 for consultation services on the 1st floor;- Day Care Center for children with disabilities and their families with a capacity 30 people for day care and 60 people for consultation services on the 2nd floor. Each service will operate independently with a separate entrance.The premises required by the function will also be differentiated. The courtyard will be improved, including parking spaces. The building is located in a residential area with an accessible architectural environment and transport infrastructure, not adjacent to industrial zones and areas with excessive traffic and noise loads. In the town there is easy access to hospitals, pharmacies, dental care, nurseries and kindergartens, schools, community centers, park areas and sports grounds. 2. The following are to be built in the former Home for children deprived of parental care with total area 11600 m2: New Public Support Center/Community Center for Children and Families with a capacity 100 people and 4 places for emergency accommodation. The building is located in a residential area, not adjacent to industrial zones and areas with excessive traffic and noise loads. There is a developed transport infrastructure: a street network and sidewalks. 3. Repair, reconstruction, furnishing and equipment for extending the activity of an already existing and functioning Day Care Center for children with disabilities and reforming it into a Day Care Center for support of children with disabilities and their families. 4. Construction of a gas pipeline to the former HCDPC – a new Public Support Center.
