Residential services for children and young people

The project proposal includes activities for building appropriate social infrastructure in Municipality of Blagoevgrad for the development of two residential services: Transitional housing and Observed dwelling. Thus, by implementing the current project proposal, Blagoevgrad municipality will be capable of providing the full range of social services defined in the Community and Family Support Services Map and the Residence Services Card, approved by the Interdepartmental Working Group for the Management and Coordination of the Deinstitutionalization Process and Children Care. The total value of the project is in compliance with the maximum amount of the defined grant for Blagoevgrad Municipality as a direct beneficiary under the procedure and with the indicative values for each service. The project proposal does not include new construction. Both services included in the project proposal will be situated as follows: - The Observed dwelling will be situated in an apartment owned by Municipality of Blagoevgrad in which repair works will be implemented; - The Transitional housing will be situated in a two-storey building, which is municipal property and will be reconstructed and renovated. An engineering procedure is envisaged for the accomplishment of this purpose. The project also includes provision of appropriate furnishings and equipment for both services. The reconstruction and repairs works will be performed in accordance with functional requirements and guidelines developed and approved by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy in line with the relevant European documents for deinstitutionalization and community life.
