Establishment of infrastructure for providing specialized health and social care for children with disabilities -2

The project provides for the establishment of the necessary infrastructure through the implementation of engineering and supply of furniture and equipment for Centres offering residential integrated health and social services in the community,providing health care,medical supervision and social work in support for children with disabilities and high-risk behaviour and their families.The realization of the project is in line with the process of de-institutionalization,creating conditions for replacement of the institutional model of childcare by a care, provided in an environment similar to the family. This project will ensure social inclusion and equal access to services for the children with disabilities from the Homes for medical and social care and from the community according to the Residence Services Map of the updated Action Plan for Implementation of the National Strategy “Vision for De-institutionalization of Children in the RB”.Through this project will be build 11 Centres for specialized health and social care for children with disabilities with the need of permanent medical care and 1 Center for specialized health and social care for children with high-risk behaviour and need for special care. In these centres will be housed children with disabilities from the closed Homes for medical and social care, who require permanent medical care and for who cannot be provided family environment.There will be also housed children with disabilities, who require permanent medical care and children with high-risk behaviour from the already existing residential services and from the community.In the 1 Center for children with high-risk behaviour will be provided counselling, therapeutic assistance and support to children from the community . The centres will provide the opportunity for raising of 6-8 children, a max.2 in a room.The furnishing and the equipment will be in accordance with the needs and health status of the children in an environment close to the family.
