New opportunities for adults and people with disabilities in Vratsa Municipality

The main objective of the project is to provide an efficient social infrastructure designed to provide new quality residential social services for people with disabilities and the elderly in the municipality of Vratsa.The scope of social services on the territory of the Municipality of Vratsa will be expanded through construction, furnishing and equipment of the building stock for the creation of new social services:2Care Center for Persons with Mental Disorders,1Care Center for Persons with Mental Retardation and 1Care Center for the Elderly in Inability to Self-Service according to the Residence Services Card. The construction of infrastructure for provision of social services is in line with the Action Plan for the period 2018-2021 for the implementation of the National Long-Term Care Strategy.The project contributes to ensuring the rights of disabled and elderly people to access quality care and residential services that meet their individual needs.Each center has a capacity of 15 places.The target groups are:for the CCPMD-30 persons-10 of them,taken out of a specialized institution and 20 persons from the community;for CCPMR-15 persons,accommodated in the Home for adults with mental retardation in the village of Tri Kladentsi; for the CCEISS-15 persons from the community included in the waiting list for the use of the social service at the Social Assistance Directorate-Vratsa.After completion of the project in the renovated infrastructure will provide social services,the supplier of which will be the Municipality of Vratsa.The number of the personnel will be according to the methodical instructions of the Social Support Agency.There will be 54 new working places.The teams will include a manager,social workers,occupational therapists and sanitaries. In order to acquire sustainability of the new social services the Municipality will apply with a project under Operative programme “DHR” and after this will take action to make the activities delegated by the state.
