"The creation of a new Social Service Center for caring for the elderly people in the inability for self-service"

The current project-proposal aims to create an innovative social service - Center for the care of the elderly in inability for self –service. Aactivities is a related to repairs, reconstruction, equipment and furnishing of the building property of municipality , intended for the operation of a resident-type social service in the town of Svishtov. Users of the Center will be elderly people unable to self-service which will be granted access to quality social services in accordance with the Action Plan for the period 2018-2021 for the implementation of the National Long-Term Care Strategy. The creation of social infrastructure will take place through interventions that are fully in line with the established functional requirements /Annex H/ of the Guidelines for Application under the Direct Grant Procedure under Priority Axis 5: „Regional Social Infrastructure“, BG16RFOP001-5.002 "Support for deinstitutionalization of social services for the elderly and people with disabilities." By carrying out the planned construction and repair works (CRW), incl. reconstruction of premises according to the established functional requirements for the building, supply of the necessary equipment and furniture will be provided a new social service with a capacity of 15 users. Access will be provided for people with disabilities to and in the Center for the care of the elderly in inability for self –service, by installing lift, in accordance with the requirements of Regulation №4 from 01.07.2009 for the design, execution and maintenance of the constructions in accordance with the requirements for accessible environment for the population, incl. for people with disabilities. The project is in line with the programming documents, aims at deinstitutionalizing people with disabilities and the elderly and building a host and supportive attitude in society.
