Providing infrastructure for 9 new social services for adults and people with disabilities in Sofia Municipality located in 2 sites

The project proposal is aimed at providing infrastructure for 9 new social services on the territory of Sofia Municipality by building new buildings for the services, located in 2 sites of intervention, as follows: - Site1-located in Knyazhevo, Vitosha District, Sofia. At present, there is 1 existing Social Service placed on Site1 (House for Adults with Dementia). The project envisages to build a new building in the adjacent space of the House, for 1 new community placed social service "Day Center for Support of People with Different Forms of Dementia and Their Families". - Site 2 is located in Podgumer, Novi Iskar District, Sofia. At present, 2 existing social services are placed on the territory of Site 2 - House for Adults with Mental Retardation and and Protected Home for People with Mental Disorders. Under the project, eight new buildings are planned to be built on the adjoining area, to provide infrastructure for 8 new resident social services (including: 6 Care Centers for Persons with Mental Disabilities and 2 Care Centers for Persons with Mental Disorders). The project envisages new construction buildings, so that it is appropriate and meets the functional requirements for the particular services, because the municipality has no suitable material base which can be reconstructed with less resources. It is necessary to develop investment projects for the 2 sites, following the relevant Bulgarian legislation. In relation to the construction works, a procedure of engineering (design, construction and author supervision) is foreseen. The new services for which infrastructure will be built are described in the Resident Services Map and the Community Support Services Map for the Sofia municipality. The project implementation will be in line with the functional requirements of the procedure.
