Social services in the community for the elderly and people with disabilities in the town of Silistra

This project proposal is aimed at providing adequate and effective social infrastructure on the territory of Silistra Municipality for the provision of residential and community services for the elderly and people with disabilities in support of their deinstitutionalization.The planned activities include the construction and equipment of the Residential Services Card, approved by the Interdepartmental working group for management and coordination of the deinstitutionalisation of elderly people, a material basis for the creation of 2 new social services in the territory of the Municipality of Silistra, namely: care center for people with mental disorders and care center for the elderly unable to self-service. Included services will be located in a municipal property. The buildings will be in compliance with the functional requirements and guidelines for the construction of the infrastructure, developed and approved by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, in line with the relevant European documents for deinstitutionalization and community living. The total value of the project is in compliance with the maximum amount of the defined grant for the Municipality of Silistra as a specific beneficiary under the procedure and with the indicative values for each individual service. The implementation of the project will contribute to ensuring equal access to quality care and services for the elderly unable to self-service and people with mental disorders by building the necessary infrastructure to provide residential and community-based services.
