"Long - term care and a decent life for people with disabilities in Kyustendil Municipality"

The project proposal „Long - term care and a decent life for people with disabilities in Kyustendil Municipality“ aims to ensure an appropriate and effective social infrastructure contributing to the provision of new quality social services for people with disabilities in line with the Action Plan for the period 2018 - 2021 to implement the National Long-Term Care Strategy by: - provision of community-based social care infrastructure for people with disabilities under the Resident Services Map and the Community Support Services Map; - improving the quality of life for the complete physical, emotional, cognitive development and social inclusion of each person in his natural environment; - to create conditions for an independent and dignified life for people with various forms of dementia and their families while respecting their rights, taking into account their capabilities and specific needs; The project proposal provides for the establishment of a Day Center to Support people with different forms of dementia and their families and three Care Centers for people with mental disabilities on the territory of Kyustendil Municipality. The established sites will create the conditions for an independent and dignified life for people with disabilities by providing quality, affordable and sustainable long-term care services compliant to the individual needs of consumers. The optimization and modernization of social infrastructure will lead to an increase in the quality of life and will help achieve an integrated approach to the care for people with disabilities with clear social effect and impact.
