Family-type Accommodation Centre for elderly people with dementia

The project includes building, repairing, reconstructing and renovating a building for a care centre for elderly people with different forms of dementia, including the adjoining space, providing access for disabled people. The centre will have a capacity of 15 seats - 7 rooms with 2 and 1 with 1 bed. In accordance with the functional requirements and guidelines developed and validated by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the following premises will be provided: Living room, dining room, dishwashing area, cleaning inventory, sanitary unit for disabled and a staff room. The investment project is elaborated and approved under the Grant Procedure of OPRD BG161PO001 / 5-02 / 2012 "Supporting the next programming period". The prepared, agreed and approved parts are Architecture, Water Supply and Sewerage, Geodesy, Gasification, Electricity, EE, Construction, HVAC, Fire Protection, Fire Safety and Waste Management. The project is in line with the main goals of the National Long-Term Care Strategy to create conditions for the independent and dignified life of older people and people with disabilities by providing quality, affordable and sustainable long-term care services tailored to the individual needs of consumers. Its implementation supports the provision of social service infrastructure in the community for people with various forms of dementia. The construction of the infrastructure is in line with the functional requirements and guidelines approved by MLSP, consistent with the relevant European documents for deinstitutionalization and community life. Its implementation will help to achieve the objectives of sectoral policy papers on social policy and the deinstitutionalisation of care for the elderly and the disabled. The project is in line with the National Concept for Promoting Active Aging in Bulgaria, the National Strategy for Population Demographic Development in Bulgaria and the National Strategy for Poverty Reduction and Promotion of Social Inclusion.
