Alternative to life

With the project proposal "Alternative to Life" Targovishte Municipality implements the policies for the deinstitutionalization of the care for the elderly and people with disabilities. The project will provide the necessary infrastructure to unveil two new social services: the Center for the Care for Persons with Mental Disorders and the Center for the Care of the Elderly in Inability to Self-Service. The two services will be housed in a municipal building, located in the village of Saedinenie, 12 km from the town of Targovishte. The envisaged intervention includes reconstruction, extension, equipment, furnishing and deployment of new social services for the Municipality of Targovishte for provision of accommodation for people with mental disorders and elderly people at risk through engineering, observing the functional requirements and guidelines for the construction of the infrastructure for relevant social services. After completion of the design, the technical design as well as the equipment and furnishing list will be submitted to the MLSP. The project includes the mandatory Information and Communication activities under the Beneficiary's Unified Beneficiary Guide to the implementation of the 2014-2020 information and communication rules. The two new services will have a capacity of 15, according to the Resident Services Map and the Community Support Services Card. The implementation of the project proposal of Targovishte Municipality contributes to the achievement of an integrated approach in the care of the elderly and the disabled with a clear social effect and impact on the target groups.
