Construction of Care Center for people with mental retardation in town of Troyan

The project proposal aims to establish Care Center for people with mental retardation in town of Troyan with capacity of 15 places and includes construction activities and supply of necessary furniture and equipment. It’s aimed at providing access to quality social services for the disabled and the elderly in accordance with the Action Plan 2018-2021 for the implementation of the National Strategy for Long-Term Care. Municipality of Troyan is included in the Resident Services Card and the Card of Community Support Services. For the purposes of the application, a technical design was approved and a building permit was issued. For the construction of the center a major repair and reconstruction of Block G of the unfinished building of the polyclinic in the town of Troyan (municipal property), falling into the landed property №73198.503.608 in plot IV in quarter 24 is planned. The project envisages the layout of the outer adjacent space, tailored to the specificity of the target group, as well as car parking. In respect of the premises are provided bedrooms with corresponding bathrooms, living rooms, kitchenette and dining room, staff room. Measures for an accessible architectural environment are envisaged, including the delivery and installation of a wheelchair accessible hospital lift. For the construction of the Center, the choice of a building is not accidental. In the immediate vicinity of the unfinished building of the polyclinic are located "Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment - Troyan" Ltd., a medical center for primary outpatient medical care and emergency medical care. The project proposal will contribute to the implementation of the National Strategy for Long-Term Care aimed at creating an independent and dignified living environment for older people and people with disabilities by providing quality, affordable and sustainable long-term care services tailored to the individual needs of consumers.
