Construction of a Center for Older Persons with Disability for Self-Care in the city of Provadia

The project proposal aims to improve the quality of life and social inclusion of older people by creating an infrastructure for innovative social service - the Center for Older Persons with Disability for Self-Care in the city of Provadia. The project creates the conditions for the provision of quality, affordable and efficient long-term residential care services, tailored to the real needs of the elderly with no self-care. With the implementation of this project, Provadia Municipality adheres to and implements European and national standards regarding the replacement of the institutional model of community-based care in a family-friendly environment. The main activities are the design and construction, equipment and furnishing of a Center for Older Persons with Disability for Self-Care on the ground - municipal property, located in the town of Provadia.The users of the Center will be elderly people with no self-care, who will be provided with access to quality social services in accordance with the Action Plan for the period 2018-2021 for the implementation of the National Long-term Care Strategy. The target group includes, in particular, the elderly placed in specialized care; registered as waiting for accommodation in resident services; people at risk of institutionalization due to lack of adequate support in a family environment and / or lack of a suitable place to live; The construction of the social infrastructure will be carried out in accordance with the functional requirements approved by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy for this type of service, with a capacity of 15 users. Measures to ensure an accessible architectural environment, in accordance with the requirements of Ordinance No. 4 of July 1, 2009, on the design, execution and maintenance of construction works in accordance with the requirements for an accessible environment for the population, including people, will be included in the execution of the construction. with disabilities.
