"Perperikon - Temple of the Gods and Home of Civilizations"

The main objective of the project Perperikon-Temple of the Gods and Home of Civilizations" is to create conditions for the development of competitive tourist attractions on the territory of the Municipality of Kardzhali and to stimulate diversification of local and regional tourist products.The specific objectives of the project are: •To support the transformation of the complex into a preferred tourist attraction and to provide suitable conditions for its year-round visit through the socialization, conservation and restoration of part of the Perperikon Archeological Complex •To promote the interest of different groups of tourists through implementation of a presentation campaign •By increasing the flow of tourism to support the development of local business in the field of tourism services The project is aimed directly at visitors of the Perperikon Archeological Complex-Bulgarian and foreign tourists,students, pensioners and citizens from other social groups, specialists in the field of cultural heritage and last but not least the residents of the municipality of Kardzhali.The main activities of the project are related to the conservation and restoration of part of the archeol. complex, as well as the construction of tourist infrastructure for its socialization.Also are planned activities for design of an integrated tourist product "Perperikon" and its promotion-preparation and distribution of information and advertising materials, purchase of interpretive equipment and equipment for the visitor center of the complex,organization and holding of Perperikon Day,filming and broadcasting of a presentation clip.The created product will be promoted at 2 international tourism fairs.The implementation of the project will lead to, on one hand, the preservation, protection and display of a part of the Perperikon archeol. complex, as a unique object of the cultural heritage of Bulgaria, and on the other, the formation of an integrated tourist product and its promotion.
