"The Kremikovski Monastery - the spiritual center of Sofia Holy Forest "

The project "The Kremikovski Monastery - the spiritual center of Sofia Holy Forest " is aimed at restoration, conservation, preservation, promotion and development of cultural heritage by developing a fully completed and integrated tourist product for the monastery, which is immovable cultural heritage in the category of "heritage with national importance" in order to develop religious tourism. The project envisages the following interventions: - Conservation and restoration of the mural painting in the medieval Saint George Church; repair of the roof, drainage and ventilation ducts along the north wall of the church. - Conservation, restoration and socialization of archeological structures north of the medieval St. George Church. - Construction of the North Monastery Wing, which will house a museum, Sofia Holy Forest Information Center, a cook-house, docks, a chapel and a bell tower. - Construction of Monastery Workshops for production of jam and syrups; for training camps and visitors in the production of monastery souvenirs.
